 Joyce Delery
Team Leader
Joyce, in keeping with family tradition, is a graduate of both
the Academy of the Sacred Heart and Tulane University. Before
graduating from Tulane she spent two years at Ole Miss. Joyce became
well known as an entrepreneur at an early age. At age fifteen, Joyce
started "Joyce's For Kids Only" day camp for children ages 3 - 8. She
operated this very popular summer camp for 14 years. It was always
filled to capacity and she employed many area teens. Before graduating
from college, Joyce began her career in the hospitality industry. At
Brennan's Restaurant Joyce held positions ranging from hostess to
Director of Sales and Marketing. She traveled the world with the Chefs
spreading the word about New Orleans cuisine. The U. S. Ambassador to
Denmark awarded her the United States Travel and Tourism Administration
Award for doing the most to promote travel to the United States from
the Scandinavian Countries. She also was very active in the Royal
Street Guild serving as its president. In the early 1990's Joyce found
herself at New Orleans Steamboat where she worked as Director of Tour
and Travel for a short time before being lured away to head the Sales
and Marketing department for RiverBarge Excursion Lines. She worked
there from the inception through the first river excursions selling a
new style of travel on the Mississippi River and other American
Waterways.
Joyce became a licensed Realtor in 1999. She continues to
"sell the City" and its unique culture to everyone with whom she works.
In her spare time, Joyce likes to garden, travel and attend
sporting events and the theater. She is a Saints fan and can often be
found at Tulane Baseball games.
